Cough Due To Cold

Little bit has a cold. A nasty cold. We are doing everything in our power to beat this cold but so far it is a losing battle.

Wednesday Charlotte and I went to Target and bought out the cold section. Thank goodness it is the middle of summer and my child is the only one with a cold.

Charlotte has some tips that she would like to pass along to other "victims" of acute viral rhinopharyngitis.  (Charlotte is assisting we refer to her crud as the medical term).

Step 1:
Vicks Baby Rub on the feet are a must

Step 2:
Soothing Vapor Bubble Baths don't only feel good but do a body good as well

Step 3:
A little steam never hurt anyone

Step 4:
Sleep with your Mommy and Daddy but make sure you are in an upright position at all times

Charlotte says, "I hope we these four steps you are on your hands and feet crawling in no time at all. Feel better friends!"

Instant Makeover

One of my very favorite things in life is to get new bedding. It is an instant makeover for a room. I always choose a neutral color for drapes in a bedroom so it is easy to change the bedding when it is time for change. I have always wanted to get all white bedding but for some reason talked myself out of it. Well not this time Timmy!

Don't you just want to put your jammies on, turn the A.C on 60, get a tub of ice cream and watch movies all day? I sure do! Now, I am wanting new bedside lamps. These are my current favorites from both Pottery Barn and Anthropologie.

Unfortunately, these will be on my "want" list for a bit. Just last night I got the dreading money talk from Josh. I seem to forget I am not Paris Hilton but a stay at home Mom living on one income. But I tell ya what.... no lamp is worth missing Charlotte everyday so I won't pout too much. Well, maybe to Josh.

Thank you God

Lately, I have heard of too many stories of friends babies going to Heaven before they get to meet their family or babies having critical health issues once they arrive. I hug Charlotte much more and longer lately and every night Charlotte and I both say a prayer together. Our prayer is the same every night; we ask for the babies in Heaven to watch over us, that the sick babies get better, heal the families who are hurting, and we thank God for blessing us.

Birthday Bliss

Yesterday I turned 29 and without a doubt it was the best birthday yet. Josh's parents were so kind and watched Charlotte all day and evening so I could have the day to myself. I spent the day with my Mom and we got mani/pedi's and went to lunch. This is a tradition we have had for years. Mom gave me a beautiful necklace that means so much to me that I will always keep and treasure. If Charlotte behaves I will some day pass it along to her.  If that wasn't enough Josh came home with a dozen cupcakes in hand and took me to my very favorite restaurant, Mahogany. YUM!  I need to have a baby more often because Josh really spoiled me this year with a massage gift certificate, a pretty scarf, and the most gorgeous earrings a girl could ever want. As silly as it may sound the very best part of the day was going to pick up Charlotte with Josh after dinner. We love that girl so much! She is the best birthday present,

After we put Charlotte down for the night we had birthday cupcakes and milk in bed. Perfect ending to the perfect day.

Please excuse the jammies and no makeup

Belly Laugh

True or False: A good baby laugh could stop all hate in the world?

If you answered false then you are pretty much the devil and we can't be friends anymore.

Chic Charlotte

Call it cabin fever but I had to get out of the house today after being cooped up with a sick baby all week. So where else to go when it is 108 degress outside??? The mall!!! To forget about the awful heat outside I bought Charlotte the most adorable fall clothes from Baby Gap.

She is sure to make a statement in these:

Under the Weather

Our little bit is sick for the first time with an ear infection. She is extra clingy and I am eating it up but I hate that she hurts. I hope she is back to her old self in no time.

Welcome Home

Welcome home.... Yeah right! Landing in Oklahoma City after a 12 hour traveling day the pilot says, "Welcome to Oklahoma City. The current time is 10:55 p.m. and the current temperate is 100 degrees." Ummmm..... Is it too late to turn around?

Why does traveling stink so bad??? The whole process is just awful. It really does make you wonder if it is even worth going anywhere or maybe that is just me. Or maybe it was the fact we chose to travel international for the first time when we flew with Charlotte. Bless her heart. She was such a trooper that girl. She really did amazingly well. If it was half way appropriate for me to have a screaming melt down in the plane I would have too. The only "issue" we had was when we finally boarded the plane leaving Turk and Caicos. Charlotte was beyond the point of hot and tired. We all were. We got to our seats and she immediately starting screaming. Not the kinda okay annoying baby screaming I mean the silent screaming to bloody murder screaming. By far the worse breakdown to date. A really sweet (I am being very sarcastic) lady sitting two seats away from me said to her husband "Good thing we brought our noise reduction headphones." She made a point for me to hear it. I wanted to punch her in her botox ugly face. What happen to women sticking together? The positive was Charlotte's extreme meltdown wore her out so bad she slept the remaining 3 hour flight. Thank goodness!!!

Other than the traveling the trip was the best! I love my family so very much and it was great having a full week with Josh to myself.

Here are a few pictures:

Sitting Up

Harold Eugene and Chloe have been working with Charlotte on sitting up. They have such great patience with their little sister.

"Just like this Charlotte."

Harold is so proud he cannot contain his emotions. ( He is so emotional these days)
