Since Charlotte's accident we are having to keep her injured hand covered. For most babies I am sure this task would be near impossible but not for our "unusual" Charlotte. She keeps her mitten on her hand (keeps her medicine on and free of infection) and never takes it off. She eats with it, sleeps with it, and plays with it. Bless her heart for being so easy going.

We have been refereeing to her as "Blanket" because only Michael Jackson's baby would wear only one glove.

For all of those who have called, emailed, and text with their concern regarding Charlotte we want to say thank you so much. It has been a week today and without a doubt it has been the most trying week as a Mother. She has been in pain, not eating well, and not sleeping but I really think we are starting to see the light in the tunnel. Please keep the prayers coming her way.

And also for those of you who have asked and have a strong stomach here is an updated picture of her poor hand with all but one of the blisters popped.

PJ Day From Hell

When I saw the weather forecast for today all I could think about was having a PJ day with my girl. We were going to watch movies and girl talk all day.

Chloe and Harold were just as excited as I was for the day and they claimed their spot by the fire early. I had the worst idea yet as a new Mother and thought I should capture the moment with a picture.

Seen here:

It was all smiles until Charlotte reached back and touched the glass door on the fireplace. It was less than a second before I heard the most pathetic scream of my life.  I swooped her up and immediately her hand was white. I called the doctor's office but it was tough to talk to the nurse over Charlotte's scream. She told me not to go to the ER because I would have to wait and hurry to come to their office. My Mom thankfully rushed over to the house and we took her to the doctor's office. What would I do without my Mom?

The doctor said to wait for the blisters, yes blisters is plural, to pop and then once it is popped the healing process will start. I will then put cream on and wrap it for 5-7 days. I was also given pain medicine.

Needless to say, I feel like the worlds worst Mother. I know these things happen and it will happen over and over but geez I sat her right next to the damn fireplace. I think Charlotte and I will both suffer from long term post traumatic stress syndrome every time we see a fireplace.

Please pray for a very speedy recovery for our Charlie girl.

This picture was taken several hours after the "incident". Looks like we are going to be okay.

Baby Daddy

It was pointed out to me by a dear friend of mine that my Charlotte looks an awful lot like Harper Beckham who is the daughter of David and Victoria Beckham.

Could Charlotte's Daddy be David Beckham..... I'm just sayin'............

Ralph Lauren's Son

I wish I was on the guest list to Lauren Bush's wedding to Ralph Lauren's son. Yes, I do not know his name and really does his name really matter? It is Ralph Lauren's son. That means for the rest of your life you are promised beautiful clothes, great bedding, and baby clothes. Does a girl need anything more than that? I think not.

Their wedding looks breathtaking. It was on Ralph Lauren's ranch in Colorado, another perk. I wonder what their party favors were????

Pretty Bambi

I dread hunting season every year. Mostly because my husband is gone before I wake up and gone every evening. Then when he is up he is sleepy because he left the house before the sun came up. And let me remind you this is all to murder a poor innocent deer.

So to the point, Josh has always wanted to proudly display one of his victims in our house and obviously that has been a no go with the Mrs. but I recently came across an idea where we might be able to meet in the middle.

The pink one is clearly me and Charlotte's favorite but I am thinking the blue/white is more "practical".  What do you think? :)

Spanx You Very Much

My new Spanx leggings are ah-mazing. Totally worth the investment if you are like me and try to find every excuse to wear leggings and boots everyday in the winter. They nip and tuck all the right places and the best part is the are comfortable. I already want another pair for back up.

To Purchase:
(They come in regular and in high waisted. I got the regular but I am sure the high waisted are wonderful too)

Sophie and Campbell

Charlotte is lucky to have two best friends. They are Sophie and Campbell Nevels. And I am lucky because their Mom happens to be one of my best friends. Until today Charlotte hasn't paid too much attention to her best friends. Rude, I know... But today she thought they were a hoot and a half. I caught a few cute moments on my phone.

Here is Campbell and Charlotte talking about celebrity gossip, fashion, and complaining about their Moms.

And this one is Sophie and Charlotte playing a good ole' fashion game of copycat. Sophie would "dance" and Charlotte would try her best to "dance" back.

You Can Do It

You Can Do It!!!! Ok, maybe not.....  This baby has zero desire to crawl. Instead she scoots/hops all across the floor to reach her destination. Josh came up with an "idea" to show her what it would feel like to crawl to maybe jump start her desire to get around in a more traditional way. Let's just say I think we have several more weeks or maybe if even months of scooting!
