A Royal Affair

This morning I loaded up Princess Charlotte and went to my friend Stephanie's house for a watch party for the Royal Wedding. We realize our girls will not remember watching the wedding but we both feel it is important to have these memories and pictures of such a historical event.

Rub A Dub Dub Dub In The Tub

Rub a dub dub dub in the tub...... minus the three men in the tub.

Finally Charlotte Lillian enjoyed bath time last night. In previous bath experiences she would scream and shake like it was some sort of chinese torture treatment but last night she was able to relax and take it all in. She asked me this morning when she is going back to the spa. I guess the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

Happy Easter

Yesterday meant a lot to me. Not only was it Easter but it was our first holiday as a family. When Charlotte was cooking in my belly I spent many sleepless nights thinking what was important to me as a family. One of the top issues was family traditions. I want to have so many family traditions it is nauseating to Charlotte. I want her to roll her eyes and think her we go again with the traditions Mom, enough already....

So what better time to start the traditions than yesterday! We had a day full of Easter brunch, pictures, Easter basket, and family time with both sides of our family. By the end of the day we were all pooped. Next year will be even better when Charlotte is older and we can add Church and an Easter egg hunt to the mix.

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter holiday.

An Island Soiree

Family and friends (except for Charlotte of course) came to get lei'd at my parents house to celebrate Nick and Carrie's upcoming wedding. My Mom and Dad put so much work into making the evening perfect for them and it was. It was great food, drinks, music, and decorations. It was the perfect way to start the wedding festivities.

First Time Meeting The Bun

Charlotte was extremely nervous to meet one of the men of Easter. Knowing she cannot meet "THE MAN" above we talk to at night we took her to meet the other important man of Easter; the Easter bunny. On the way she asked me and her Dad all sorts of questions: Will he like my dress? Will he bite me? If so, how hard? Will he smell like grass because I don't like the smell of grass? Will he know I pee in my panties? Does he know how to swim? What does his pajamas look like? Does he brush his teeth? Where is his Mom and Dad? Is he married? Is he registered to vote?  Will he look at my panties because they match today? Does his panties match today? Then half way there she wanted to turn around and go home just to change her hair bow. It was exhausting for all three of us.

Finally.... they meet.

Charlotte said it was her best day yet!

This Is How I Roll

Josh got Charlotte her first car. Yes, she cannot drive this for another two years but so what! Until Charlotte takes the wheel big bird will keep the seat warm.

I am Coo Coo Crazy

Charlotte is beginning to coo all the time and it will melt your heart. It is so stinking cute. I have a feeling she will be a chatter box like her Mom and Dad.

Newborn Pictures

A week after Charlotte's arrival we took her to get newborn pictures. I think they turned out wonderful and here are a few of my favorites:
