Happy Birthday Emma Rose

Today was Emma's birthday party at the park. Everything turned out great! Good food (chick fila biscuits; need I say more), good weather, and even better company. Happy 3rd Birthday to Emma!

13 Weeks

This week I am 13 weeks. I am feeling much more "normal" than I did the past few weeks so I am very thankful for that. Monday I went to go see the "high risk" doctor for a regular ultrasound. Dr. Mirable said that he is over 90% sure we are having a boy. So that is good enough for us and we are going with it unless we hear otherwise!

The move is o-v-e-r! When I say over I mean we are in the house with tons more to do but that will come. I truly hated every second of every minute of the move. I never ever want to move again. The work and exhaustion is something I am not made for.

"The Drop"

So toddlers are just weird. Since they cannot communicate well you are left in the dark on what is going on in their bipolar heads. Charlie has recently started dropping to the ground when she is upset. She doesn't move, doesn't cry, and doesn't kick. She just lays there. After she gathers her thoughts she gets up and we go about our way.

I want you to experience what I get to experience too often so I am going to share pictures of "the drop" as they come along. Enjoy

I have read about Tieks in several places but most recently Oprah magazine and my friends blog. I live in flats. When you are as tall as I am you really do not have any other choice. I have several pairs of Tory Burch flats and although they are cute they aren't too comfy to wear all day. Being pregnant comfort is the key. Pregnancy and I do not get along and when I am uncomfortable I am miserable. If I am miserable everyone around me is miserable as well.

After much research and online reviews I decided to try my first pair of Tieks. The next big decision was what color to get. I could not decide between a basic camel color or go crazy and get green. I stepped out of my comfort zone and got green. I can wear them with much more than I anticipated and it gives my boring wardrobe an extra pop.

The shoes are way more comfortable than Tory Burch and just as cute. Also it was very fast shipping and great customer service. This fall I will purchase another pair that I can wear through the season.

Bottom line is if you are looking for a cute and comfortable pair of shoes try these out.

Shrimp Swim Class

Charlie started swim class last month. It was a mommy and me class and all Moms know they are anything but fun for us. Charlie loved it and did really well so her teacher suggested moving her up to the 3-4 age group class without MOM's. Music to my ears.

Today was her first class and I was a nervous wreck. The two of us have failed in gymnastics and ballet class because Charlie struggles with following the rules. With our past I had no idea how this would turn out without me keeping her in line.

Turns out she did wonderful! Perfect! She loved every second and looked like one of the big kids. I have to admit one thing though; I teared up a bit during the class. She is no longer a baby. She is turning into a little girl literally right before my eyes. She looked so big across the pool without me. I guess I can blame it on the pregnancy hormones but I just do not know if I am ready for my baby to be so independent.
